Prevent clothes that smell like mildew with Door-Doc
The Association of Home Appliance Manufacturers acknowledges that modern front-loading washers are susceptible to mold problems, in spite of the high-efficiency benefits. In particular, front-loaders use less water than a conventional top-loader during the washing and rinsing phases. The doors also lock and seal tightly, which can trap mold spores that can grow into black mildew and cause odors. Mold is a common household issue.
In between loads use your Door-Doc™ to hold washing machine door ajar allowing air to circulate throughout the rubber gasket and drum. This will prevent the growth of hazardous mold and prevent clothes that smell like mildew.
Door-Doc™ is perfect for washers located in entrance ways and tight corridors. The unique design of Door-Doc™ holds your washer door in the perfect position to allow free passage without sacrificing air circulation including the prevention of accidental door closures. Even if washer door is inadvertently bumped, Door-Doc™ will secure the door in place for circulating air.
INSTRUCTIONS
1. Open washer door.
2. Slide DoorDoc™ over washer door handle. (fig. A)
3. Allow door to close until magnetic base on DoorDoc™
clicks onto door jamb, (fig. B)holding it propped open.
4. Store Door-Doc between uses by clicking magnetic base onto side of washer (fig. C). For use with front-loading, high efficiency washing machines.

Mold spores have been directly linked to diagnosis of asthma or asthma-like symptoms. It is important that the production and spread of this fungus be eliminated in our homes. In 2004, the Institute of Medicine, the IOM, found there was ‘sufficient evidence to link indoor exposure to mold with upper respiratory tract symptoms; a cough and wheeze in otherwise healthy people.
The IOM also found ‘limited or suggestive evidence linking indoor mold exposure and respiratory illness in otherwise healthy children. Other recent studies have suggested a potential link of early mold exposure to development of asthma in some children and that selected interventions, such as Door-Doc, that improve housing conditions can reduce asthma and respiratory allergies.
